The principal behind the floating carrier is to help keep the sprocket properly aligd with the driver on the motor. As the chassis flexes a hard-mounted sprocket comes out of li with the chain, thus causing drag on the entire driveli.
Wild Kart believes that this drag wastes power that could otherwise be used to accelerate the kart. The float built into the product helps to minimize that drag and thus allowing more of the available engi power to be transfered into forward momentum.
