Allows more effective transfer of power from the motor to the rear axle
The principal behind the floating carrier is to help keep the sprocket properly aligned with the driver on the motor. As the chassis flexes a hard-mounted sprocket comes out of line with the chain, thus causing drag on the entire driveline.
Wild Kart believes that this drag wastes power that could otherwise be used to accelerate the kart. The float built into the product helps to minimize that drag and thus allowing more of the available engine power to be transfered into forward momentum.
