Honing Tip:
Torque plates are used with stock head bolts and head gasket, to create cylinder/block pull that occurs with stock head. Torque plates will be installed after cylinder/block machine work or during honing operations to create cylinder wall distortion (out of round condition).
Torque the plate to the final settings used for your race engine. We recommend allowing the engine block to sit for approx 24 hours to allow for cylinder distortion (cylinder wall run out) prior to finish honing to obtain maximum ring seal.
